Biography: Francisco Tamagno was born in Sintra, Portugal, in 1851. He died in Paris in 1923 or 1933 (I've seen both referred to). Originally starting out as a portrait painter, he moved to Paris in the 1880s where he worked as the lead designer for the Camis printing house. He is particularly known for his bicycle poster designs he created for Terrot Cycles. Other poster designers also noted for designing bicycle posters include Pal (Jean de Palealogue), Henri Gray, Georges Massias, Georges Favre, and Lucien Baylac.
Other products and companies Tamagno designed posters for include Chamonix/Mont-Blanc ski resort, Cusenier Absinthe, Cycles Automoto, and Cirque Rancy. Satisfaction is guaranteed.* Orders are 100% secure.* Click any thumbnail to view a larger version or make a purchase.
