Biography: Umberto Boccioni was born in 1882 in Reggio Calabria, Italy. He died in 1916. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts at Rome. He founded the Futurism art movement, along with Gino Severini and Luigi Russolo. Futurism was influenced by the Cubism of Pablo Picasso. From 1912, he worked primarily in sculpture, for which he is best known today. He died from a cavalry accident in WWI. Check out our
